The Kenosha Public Museum, located in Kenosha, Wisconsin is situated midway between the Chicago Art Institute and the Milwaukee Art Center forming a triad of fine arts entertainment for the art enthusiast.
Established in 1933, the Museum's collections have grown to over 70,000, including more than 1,000 works in the fine arts area.
Recent acquisitions have centered on printmaking and in particular the time period following World War II up to and including the present. This was a defining era for the graphic image in Art History. Wisconsin artist/printmakers played a leading role in this revival of the fine arts print and a significant grouping of the Museum's collection addresses this.
We are pleased for the generosity of Ron and his wife Mary's donations to greatly enhance the KPM's fine art collection. This generosity has had an impact on the Kenosha community as well as the many visitors from other areas.
